New Cover for Entanglement

So I've just commissioned the brilliant Eden Crane of Eden Crane Design to create a brand new cover for Entanglement, and I am more than thrilled with the end product, pictured on the right! Working with her was very collaborative and lots of fun:) Right now she's doing the print cover and some web banners for my blog, facebook, and twitter. So you might be seeing some changes around here over the next few days. I'd love to hear feedback on the new cover, so please comment!

  1. Hi!

I am a great fan of Entanglement. I read the whole thing in one sitting and found it brilliant!
But I think this cover absolutely doesn't do the book justice. I don't get why there is a girl on the cover when even the blurb says it's the story of the boy who is the exception.

The whole thing just doesn't feel right. I'm really sorry if I come of as harsh, but I loved the book and feel very strongly about it.

  2. I completely understand your frustration! I hate it when authors screw with readers' vision for book and its characters with a cover doesn't seem to fit. I've been there. I really appreciate the feedback, and it's great to hear from a fan! I'm ecstatic you feel strongly enough about Entanglement to speak up:D

As a reader, you definitely have a right to know why I chose to change it. I felt Amber suffered as much if not more than Aaron throughout the book, so I wanted to feature her on the cover. Also, I thought the original cover suggested the book was more science-fiction than it actually was, and while there are sci-fi elements, I wanted a cover that appealed to a more general YA audience. Doesn't mean you have to like it, though:)

    Thanks for the comment!

  3. I've never heard of YA. What does it stand for?
